TAK£500+ Learning Event

The ABC Community Planning Partnership launched the Learning and Evaluation Report of the Tak£500+ PB process this morning. The audience heard from the Community Planning team Jennie Dunlop and Michelle Markey about the second PB process, Tak£500+, which took place across the ABC borough council area. The process brought 24 community planning partners together with 9 statutory partners pooling a PB resource of £76,412 and in-kind support from other partners. Local people decided how the PB fund was allocated across the borough with 81 successful projects delivering health and wellbeing projects on the theme of #take5 in their local communities. Key takeaways from this morning's event included: the power of relationship building; meaningful decision-making; community connections; putting fun in funding; impact on the ground; coalition of the willing and testing mainstream PB. We heard reflections and learning from Tak£500+ from a fantastic panel of speakers including: Colette Rogers from the PHA, Chirs Leech, Chair of the Craigavon Area Foodbank and Community Voluntary Sector Panel member, Charlene Stoops, Deputy Chief Executive of ABC Council and Kellie Howard from Renfrewshire Council in Scotland.
