PB can help to put 'Community' into Community Wealth Building

PB can help to put 'Community' into Community Wealth Building

If you missed out on our latest learning workshop which explored PB and Community Wealth Building you can find a full report and recording of the session in the resources section. The workshop was jointly hosted by PB Works and DTNI. We had the pleasure of hearing from counterparts in Scotland who are championing and forging a way forward for PB. Kathleen Glazik, Scottish Government Community Empowerment Lead, charted the journey, support and investment which the Scottish Government has committed to PB including the recent framework for the future of PB in Scotland developed by a National Strategic PB Group. Cllr Joe Cullinane, from North Ayrshire Council shared the Council’s progress in embedding Community Wealth Building practices and approaches which are being taken to mainstream PB across the Council area. Elidh Brown, from the third sector interface (tsi)Moray shared her insights and experiences of PB practice in Moray and how this has informed her participation in the National Strategic PB Group. We were also joined by Anthony Carleton, Department for Communities who reflected on learning from Scotland and emphasised the Minister's commitment to advancing PB and Community Wealth Building through the Department’s policy and practice. We also shared our Route Map to grow and mainstream PB.
